Hybrid generation systems that use more than a single source can greatly enhance the load demands all the time. Even higher generating capacities can be achieved by hybrid system. In this project, wind-photovoltaic hybrid power generation system model is integrated together with a battery system to supply the load requirement. Tis system is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK Software. A hybrid system is more advantageous as individual power generation system is not completely reliable. When any one of the system is shutdown the other can supply power. Figure 4.1 shows the block diagram of entire hybrid system.
Solar photovoltaic, Wind system and the battery are integrated together and connected in parallel to a common DC bus bar. To maintain the DC bus voltage each renewable source voltages are boosted up using boost converter. Then to meet the load DC voltage is converted to AC by using three phase inverter. Then converted AC supplies multiple load demand.
