Abstract
Kiran Desai is an Indian author. Her novel Inheritance of loss won the man booker price and national book critic circle fiction award. In this novel “The Inheritances of Loss” explore many issues which are globalization, multiculturalism, economic inequality, and violence. This paper look at the diaspora subjects in “The Inheritance of Loss”. Unlike other diaspora writing which tends to highlight the evolution of one’s identity due to inheritance of one’s culture and the contact and effect of the new space where subject now lives, Biju the diaspora subject who lives in New York very much remain Indian. What one see most in his cases in longing for Himalayas town which he belongs to.
