Shek and Shilpa (2016) in their study proposed a new method to overcome the need of blood in a critical situation just with a touch of a button process. This project is named as an Efficient Android app for blood donation process. This app will link all the donors and receivers through social media. This app will collect the information regarding interested donor and will create a database for the same. With the help of this app, one can get the list of individuals with matching blood group in nearby areas. This will also reflect the number of people who have received blood with the help of this app. As most of the donors are always with their mobile phones, thus this app can also help in tracking their location and can communicate with them. Those individuals who do not use the android app can get information about blood donors from social networking sites. Advertisement for this app can be processed with the help of social media i.e., WhatsApp, Facebook and Television for public awareness. Parse server will be used to make the database reliable. Tatikonda & Ocla (2017) in his paper has focused on the innovation of a blood donation app named Blooder. It is a major challenge for every country to find blood donors. To meet the needs of blood, there are many blood donation applications in the market, but there is a need of prompted one to meet the requirements. This app which has been maintained with Ruby programming, JavaScript and PostgreSQL. Donor, requester and admin are the main users of this app and contains the following options for them.

Android Blood Donor Life Saving Application in Cloud Computing.

Jenipha & Backiyalakshami (2014) aimed at the creation of a web application named as “Cloud Application for Android Mobiles”. This computerized system will create a link between all the donors. The main purpose of this app is to create a blood transfusion system to maintain the database on the stock of types of blood in each locality. This app will also reflect the requests that people made for the requirement of the blood. The blood transfusion dataset used in this app is based on Blood transfusion service centre in Hsin-Chu city in Taiwan. The dataset used for this study is based on 847 donors. With the help of RVD matrix, the dataset is maintained under this app. The first step under the framework of this app is the registration of the donor. To save all the details of the donors, the app is also linked to the website. The website is very attractive and user-friendly. Pandit, Niloor & Shinde (2015) in their study introduced new features of the improved system over already existing technology. In this world of rapid technology, there is an urgent requirement to reduce the gap between need and availability of blood. Thus authors have focused to create a life-saving application. In this world of transformation, where everything is online, nothing is difficult for people to use. Thus to make this blood donation system online is truly essential. This app directs the needy person immediately to approach the donor in less time. There is an algorithm in this app which calculates the shortage of blood as well. This application provides alert for different kinds of events related to blood donations. Although there are various advantages of this app, yet this app does not provide GPS facility which creates a problem for the new users to search for the donor. This app cannot be used by persons who do not have a smartphone. Thus, for future research there is a need to make an app which can work offline and should be easy to use by all. MHealth Technology as a Tool to Promote Blood Donation
According to Silva & Brasil (2018), in the health area, it has become a major concern to have a look at blood donation scenario and its effect on the treatment of patients. There is a need to improve the ratio of donors to meet the demand for blood in emergency cases. This study reflects that to meet the required demand, after conducting a survey, it has been observed that there is need of an online app to meet with the requirement.
